Climate Change Exhibition

If you have not done so already, go visit The Field Museum’s latest exhibition. On display until November 28, 2010, “Climate Change” explores the changing climate throughout the 21st Century.  Areas of interest include interactive kiosks, displays, and videos examining human activity which has changed the world in which we live in. While there, you will see how burning fossil fuels and other activities caused the sea levels to go up, brought upon droughts and storms, destroyed natural habitats, and strained cultures.

“Climate Change” is not all doom and gloom. It shows us as a society how to change our ways. The exhibit highlights how to move from non-renewable energy sources to renewable sources like wind, solar, geothermal, and other sources. The exhibit also shows what can be done at an individual level, like switching to compact fluorescents light bulbs and recycling. Go and learn how society’s collective efforts can change the direction of climate change.
