* 2012 IECC Impacts 2012 IECC Impacts

Time: 8:30 am

2012 IECC impacts and implementation: baseline and beyond | training opportunity The statewide adoption of the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) anticipated in July means more stringent mandates for commercial buildings in Illinois. Join Darren Meyers and Isaac Elnecave to learn about the new requirements, how they compare to the current state law, and how to go beyond code with proven technology options identified through Illinois' new construction programs. We'll focus on IECC applications for commercial buildings and take an in-depth look at key efficiency improvements and discuss how to implement them in your projects. These improvements include limiting commercial buildings to a maximum of 30 percent vision glazing; requiring more insulation, tighter building envelopes and ductwork, improved HVAC efficiency and commissioning (Cx); mandatory daylighting in certain spaces and more efficient lighting compared to the 2009 IECC.
