The Loop’s Latest Green Residential Building is No Square

Located at 210 N Wells, 2002 is the city’s latest marquee residential high-rise and one of the only major high-rises constructed in the central business district last year. To help it stand out, Solomon Cordwell Buenz designed the 42-story, 329-unit rental building with sustainability in mind.

Chicago Among Top Five Greenest U.S. Cities

Continuing a national appraisal begun last year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has ranked the top U.S. cities in terms of efficient buildings. Chicago moved to fifth overall, up one spot from the previous year. The ranking is based on number of building which garnered the EPA’s Energy Star rating, of which Chicago has 134.
